When my Golden Doodle, Sherlock, was about 6 months old he was a typical puppy with lots of energy. My girlfriend, Erica, was at a park and saw a man with an extremely well trained German Shepherd. Erica inquired and was informed Jaymi Crook was the dog\’s trainer and got Jaymi\’s number. Soon after, Sherlock and I started training with Jaymi. Sherlock is now 3 years old and is a wonderful well trained dog. Jaymi is a fantastic trainer. We have had so much fun working with Jaymi. Much of the time is spent training me. Jaymi is very patient and his love of his work and dogs is very apparent. Sherlock has boarded and trained with Jaymi and I trust Jaymi completely when Sherlock is with him. I know Sherlock is one of Jaymi\’s best students. Jaymi has become a friend. He loves his work. I highly recommend Jaymi without reservation.

My family and I have worked with Jaymi of Crook K9 for over a year and a half. We have an extremely active Golden Doodle who is now 16 months named Ruby. Like many dog owners we treat our puppy as part of the family; however, as a young puppy we spent most of our days chasing after her in what we thought was part of the responsibility.
After a first few session with Crook K9, we found the simple instructions such as heel, come, look, sit, down and place; enhanced our interactions with our puppy. Throughout each session with Jaymi, we always begin
with what he calls the diagnostic between puppy to owner and owner to puppy, based on experiences that occurred between sessions and what we have done to reinforce the training. Jaymi has allowed us ample time to ask questions for clarity and lapses in providing commands, he also provided great “tips” to ensure as an owner we don’t get frustrated and really embrace the process.
Once we got the 6 basic commands down pat and were comfortable, we decided to pursue off leash training. Crook K9’s program is 4 weeks program of having Ruby stay with the trainer as they build up the confidence. Outside of the separation anxiety (mostly from the owners side), Jayme provided daily videos so we understand the “how to” once the puppy returns into the home environment. During the 4 week program, we were amazed by progress and then the incredible reveal where we met Jayme and Ruby being reintroduced her to us.
At first we realized how mature she is an following directions and Jayme explained to us that two things: (1) Ruby is still a puppy and (2) the proper strengthening of what she has learned is critical to the programs success. It isn’t just turn key program and commitment to engage Ruby will make her enjoy the family dynamic even more. Jayme always states things aren’t always going to be perfect but continually having sessions through out the day (on your time) will make any canine/dog appreciate you even more.
I cannot tell you enough about the detail, accessibility, understanding and interaction Jaymi provides you as an owner regardless if it is your first, second or even third dog. Jayme and Crook K9 treat the experience as if everyone is a new dog owner and is methodical on the steps taken to ensure success for both you and dog. Words cannot express how incredible Crook K9 has been through this process. I will say will you haven’t reach out to them you and your family truly are not fully getting the full immersive experience / enjoyment with your dog.

I am a 100% disabled Vietnam Veteran and my now 4 1/2 year old German Shepherd dog had the good fortune to meet aymi Crook when Kaos was about 1 1/2 years old. I had gone through many trainers by then. Jaymi started out with basic obedience training and then we decided after a few sessions to move Kaos into a month long board and training.. The separation from Kaos was difficult for me. Jaymi sent me a video every day to show me how the training was going but also to assure me he was loved and taken care of. When he came home Kaos still remembered me and had transformed into an unbelievable service dog. I now take Kaos with me everywhere I go to include communion-Off LEASH. I have no feeling in my left foot and when I walk I can not walk in a straight line. I look like a staggering drunk. Jaymi trained Kaos to walk close to my left side and if he feels me swerve a little he leans into me and helps me walk straight. He goes up and down stairs with me step by step and stabilizes on each step to give me balance if I need it. He helps me get out of my chair by stabilizing in front of me to give me something to lean on a little to get upright. He does the similar things around the house. When I go out to eat I can put him in a down position and he won’t move( will not bark, pay attention to other dogs etc). until I give him permission. I am the person that needs constant training. Kaos seems to get it .Jaymi calls every week or so to check on us.
I couldn’t be more pleased with what Jaymi has done for me. I wouldn t be alive today without Kaos.

“We have been rescuing, rehabilitating and re-homing dogs for over 10 years. After several years of searching we were able to find a property with much more land but unfortunately it needed a lot of work and in the first six months a lot of the time that we would have spent with our dogs was spent getting the property up to par. A few months after moving we started to notice some undesirable behavior that had begun after the move wasn’t going away. We were hoping it was just the transition of the move and us being so busy and not being able to spend as much time with them as before but the new behavior had become our packs new pattern and we were worried. A friend of ours was talking about Trainer Jaymi and we thought maybe having another professional take a look from the outside in would be helpful. We all fall into bad habits there is always room to grow and learn. After just one training session with Jaymi we were back on track! Jaymi was able to identify several key things we needed improvement on. After a few weeks with our new techniques we had our second session with Jaymi and after that the improvements were incredible! Our pack was back on track!! Subsequent sessions a bonus! Jaymi was able to get us all back on track so now we are back to rescuing, rehabilitating and re-homing.
