Not all dogs, regardless of the their breed, are cut out to undertake the training and responsibility of being a personal protection K9 and just as importantly not all owners who want a personal protection K9 have what it takes to handle, protect and care for one. There are a number of crucial assessments and requirements that must be met before a canine can begin a program in this specialized field of work. There are also moral and legal questions that should be pondered before embarking on a course. All interested parties should expect an in-depth interviewing process before being accepted as a client.
